I saw a few British Cycling signs up today (in Ramsbottom) for an event on 9th June - a quick google states it's the Women's Tour of Britain.

Does anyone know where I can find details of the route. I've found details of the first two stages (link below) but it seems to stop there. I find it intriguing that after it was cancelled last year for lack of funding, they've done the hard bit this year (found funding and planned the route) but it seems impossible to find any info about it.

Thanks

Stage 3 - Warrington. https://www.warrington.gov.uk/tourofbritain

Stage 4 - Manchester. https://www.velouk.net/2024/05/13/news-stage-4-route-for-womens-tour-of-bri...

I suspect they are using routes from the mens tour of britain from a year or 2 ago. Then, the Wrexham stage went through my brother's village and the Manchester stage went through my village, which the womens routes also do this year.

Stage 4 goes past my house. The logistics of rolling road blocks are fascinating to witness.

Delph to Grains Bar looks interesting and not as brutal as the Ramsbottom climb

For what it’s worth, Google search is entirely broken by AI ‘optimisation’ that tries to guess which of its sponsored products you’re wanting to buy. You can bypass the terrible search and get ‘old fashioned’ (which is to say: useful) search results by including ‘&udm=14’ into your search string, or just go to https://udm14.com/ which will do it for you.

I just did that, the top results were useful. All four stages appear on the British Cycling website

and in this article:

Hoping to catch a bit of stage 1, but not decided where yet.

Nice one - the profiles are also in the 'spectator guide'. Stage 2 looks good with the Horseshoe pass being towards the end of the stage. Thanks
