Another good, quiet crag in the Lower Merced River Canyon. Tips and Cramming are classic routes well worth seeking out and there are a handful of other worthwhile routes here. Warm in Winter.
Park at the Cascade parking lot on the north side of Hwy 140. Head east (back towards the valley) looking for a faint trail on the left side of the road about 1/4 mile along the road. The trail is cairned and begins by the remains of an old stone wall. It meets the base of the cliff at "Tips". Head climbers right to reach the other climbers. "Cramming" and "This and That" are a long way right. There was once a more direct trail from the road to these routes but it has essentially disappeared.
