The summit of the Schwarzhore (sometimes called the Schwarzhorn), north-east of the Oeschinensee, is a good viewpoint to the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, which can hardly be seen from the nearby col Hohtürli (where the Wetterhorn is rather visible).
A marked blue/white path from just below the west side of the col leads to the peak, passing along and just below its east ridge, encountering some slightly unstable and exposed ground, but with ropes and chains for the necessary assurance. Most of the way is a pleasant walk.
The west ridge, largely a broad plateau coming from the Bundstock, is also a blue/white marked path with the difficulty being a short, easy scrambly section on the south side of the ridge before the summit. Near the Bundstock, venturing to the south of the plateau will yield a view of the Oeschinensee.
