A large Alpine crag in the Lectal Alps to the top of the Roggspitze. Good quality rock in a beautiful and fairly remote setting. Bolted Protection is good quality but sparse (1 or 2 bolts per 30m pitch) so a set of nuts and some medium chocks are useful. The guidebook shows the harder routes have additional pitons for additional protection and to allow several pitches to be aid climbed (A1). All belay stances have at least 1 cemented bolt but are not always obvious and there is a potential to climb past if not careful.
Good topo here.
The crag can be accessed from Zurs or St Anton (using the Valluga Bahn). The prefered way is from Zurs, staying at the Stuttgarter Hutte as the walk-in and out is much easier. If attempted from St Anton it is much easier to descend into Zurs then catch the bus back to St Anton - doing this linear route creates a quality mountain day!
