Ravens Foot Buttress © Rockfax
Raven's Foot Buttress is the tall wall almost opposite Raven Tor. The crag has been neglected for many years but now a new clutch of easier sport routes have been added to the right-hand flank and with that a potential interest in the re-equipping of the harder routes on the main section. A few powerful micro routes cross the low bulges on the far left but these are currently lost to the ivy.
Park at Raven Tor, walk towards Litton and cross the footbridge. Follow the steps up to the Monsal Trail. Take a right turn and pass the Raven Tor viewpoint and continue into a cutting. At the end of the cutting, go up a steep muddy path immediately. This quickly disappears and there is no further path at present. Head pretty much straight down the bank steeply from here towards a fixed line. Go past a tricky step by a multi-branched tree and then head right under the short cliff. Keep close to this as it bends round to the crag. Parking at Miller's Dale station is an equally viable perhaps preferable alternative as over parking at Raven Tor is becoming an issue.
