Predannack Head is a complex area of cliffs, ridges, and zawns, which can be very difficult to identify from the cliff-top. In spite of these challenges at Predannack, extra effort is well worth it because the climbing is hugely atmospheric. If you want a place far from the madding crowds, surounded by great rock, good lines, a wide variety of grades, intricate route-finding, and with approaches ranging from very easy to quite gnarly, then you've come to the right place.
Drive through Mullion village towards Mullion Cove, but take the sharp left turn before Mullion Cove signposted to Predannack Wallas. Here, you will find a car park from which all the sectors can be accessed.
In spite of extensive hunting and reference to first ascensionists I have been unable to exactly identify the lines of Compensation, Rothko and Pollock at Predannack Head. This will be noted in the new guide unless I find them in the meantime. hopede - 13/Jun/15 |
