There are several areas on Newgale Beach with bouldering potential, although these are very dependent on tides, sediment movement, and seepage. Towards the south end of the beach, around Maidenhall Point, there are some short steep problems and traverses on well-featured sandstone.
The Pembroke North guide shows a car park directly above the boulder. Approach from the main southern beach car park anyway as there's no direct way down the cliffs to the boulder.
Some really nice problems with plenty of other potential around and about. Probably better suited to bouldering than the north end of the beach. Some of the problems appear to be described as eliminates rather than the most obvious sequences. Will Hunt - 06/Aug/19 |
