Short and very steep
Park in the layby on the edge of Whin's wood and head over the gap in the wall to join the bridleway, follow this away from the village until an old overgrown track heads left towards the foot of the hill. Follow the track to the old gate and then head more or less straight up the hillside to the crag. It can be hard to spot on first acquaintance due to the large tree in front of the crag.
