Highly featured granite wall. The L side of the wall faces E and gets lots of sun in the morning. The R side sees no sun at all as it faces N - ideal for really hot days.
Mainly sport routes though a few require gear (or top roping). A dozen quickdraws is ample as is a 60m rope.
This is where John Bachar fell to his death whilst soloing in 2009 and there is a small improvised shrine to his memory at the base.
From Mammoth drive to Lake George and park. Walk clockwise around the lake to near one of the last cabins and follow a good but steep trail to the crag (the guide says just before the last cabin but this is wrong) - if in doubt the trail branches off where there is a rocky projection into the lake.
There are no comments from visitors to this crag. |
