I don't have that particular Garmin, but recently got the Fenix 7 to replace my old (in tech terms..) Samsung Wear Sport.
Sync is near-instant with Strava (where Samsung used to take between 10-45 minutes to decide to sync), I'd say the Garmin stats are good enough, if not better, that you don't need to fork out for Strava premium unless you're particularly in the Strava world of segment tracking.
The general day-to-day tracking of steps, stress, sleep etc are all interesting, and it's also good at giving you general advice on what you could/should be doing more/less of (sleep, high intensity, low intensity etc).
