Where was this?

In reply to deruiter14:

Hesketh Out Marsh, Ribble estuary. Saw some great birds today (also at marsh side): little gulls, Mediterranean gulls, little stint, spotted redshank, yellow wagtail, white wagtails, wheatears galore, lots of ruff in great plumage, whimbrel, grey plovers in summer plumage, first Arctic tern of the year. Probably the most unusual sighting was of a knot - never seen one at this place before.

Wonder if that's the same Spoonbill as the immature that was there last year, but the dark bill indicates (now) mature.

Could well be. It was showing some yellow on its plumes as well.
