Rocktype Crumbly rubbish
Faces all
Tide washed horrible crumbly rubbish. Too loose and wet for climbing - a perfect venue for mixed style bouldering.
The cliffs are scoured at the base by sand and waves making them very smooth, all hand and footholds are between 1m to 3m high and overhanging considerably.
Landings are soft and sandy however occasionally the odd rock does show itself, pads are strongly reccomended
Helmet with Visor is reccomended as the rock is of a very fissile flaky shist.
Park on road above the castle and follow the signs to the cove. Climbing is only possible at low tide. Avoid busy weekends and Bank holidays. Be cautious of bringing axes down at busy times.
